Virtual Winter School “Educational Exchange between East and West” (“Internationaler Bildungsaustausch zwischen Ost und West”)
The virtual Winter School “Educational Exchange between East and West” (“Internationaler Bildungsaustausch zwischen Ost und West”) will take place over a total of five event days from 09.11.2020 to 20.11.2020. The winter school with workshops, lectures, discussions and exchange of experience with participants from Germany, Russia, and Belarus is a part of the project „Internationaler Bildungsaustausch zwischen Ost und West“, covered by funds from the DAAD provided by the Federal Foreign Office (Germany).
The visit of Russian and Belarusian students (teaching degree or master’s degree programmes), doctoral candidates, and experienced academics to Nuremberg that was planned for November as the second part of the virtual international conference in April had to be cancelled due to the aggravation of the current COVID-19 pandemic and will therefore be converted into a virtual format.
The primary target group of the winter school are students (teaching degree or master’s degree programmes) and doctoral candidates from Germany, Russia, and Belarus. Students and researchers who are interested in various aspects of international educational exchange and international education are invited to receive further training and to network in this thematic area.
Participants will gain insight into the practices of the school and out-of-school international education in Germany and participate in workshops on research methods and practical issues in international education. The activities of the winter school will help students and young researchers to develop their own innovative ideas and to discuss them with other students, researchers, and practitioners in international education.
