Sobira Majidova studied German Philology and Education at the Samarkander State Institute of Foreign Languages (Uzbekistan) and at Philipps-Universität Marburg (semester abroad) and graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Arts (2016). Currently she is enrolled in the master’s programme Empirical Educational Research (specialisation area: International Education) at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) . Her master’s thesis is entitled “Pedagogical challenges and perspectives of trilingual education in teacher training in Kazakhstan from the perspective of students and university teachers”. Sobira Majidova was a Marion-Dönhoff scholarship holder for the project “Radicalisation and Populism” at the German-Russian Exchange Association (DRA). She gained practical pedagogical experience through teaching assistance in the school №51 in Samarkand, in the inclusive school at Sonnenhof e.V. and in the Children’s Museum Nuremberg. Since 01.06.2022 she is the project assistant in the project “Pedagogical Professionalism and Internationalisation – Dialogue with the Post-Soviet Islamic Education Space” at the Chair of Education with a focus on Diversity Education and International Education Research at the Faculty of Philosophy, Social Sciences, and Theology of FAU.
